The department has highly experienced and dedicated team of 15 faculty members , 5 of whom are docrates. The average experience of the faculty in the department is more than 10 years. The department places special emphasis on exposing students to real life business scenarios through Guest Lecture Programmes and Skill development Courses. Interactive sessions with Industry experts and entrepreneurs expose students to case studies and specific problems drawn from the Industry which serves as the backdrop of the problem solving and clear understanding of the basic concepts. The department also organises bridge courses for non-commerce students to learn the basics of commerce and accounting.
Career guidance programmes are organized by the department to throw light on the various avenues and opportunities available in commerce education. The department encourages students to pursue professional courses such as Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretaryship.
